Get a Good Night's Sleep
Sleep loss is a common problem in the fast-paced world. However, it is important to recognize that lack of sleep can result in bad health and bad habits. It makes your body crave high-calorie foods that you may not be able to resist. It impacts on your mental focus and ultimately on your mood. So put sleep on the top of your list of health improvements. Keeping regular sleep hours and a healthy routine helps synchronize your body rhythms and sleep-wake cycles.

Plan your Food Intake
Planning your diet is very similar to planning your financial budget. The less money you have overall, the more careful you have to be to meet your essential needs before spending money on "extras." You wouldn't buy an expensive new car if it meant leaving your mortgage and utilities unpaid! Similarly, when you are limiting your calories for weight loss, you should "spend" your calories wisely the food you intake. If you are for instance, intaking 1200 calories per day, you don't want to waste your calories on high fat foods. Intake protein dense meals that are low in calories and fat and intake healthy snacks inbetween. Good luck!

Cookie Jar
So what do you do with your cookie jar, now that you're dieting and the jar sits empty? How about use it as a motivator for working out? On seven slips of paper, write down different physical activities you enjoy doing, such as "Grab iPod and speed walk" or "Play yoga DVD." Every day, stick your hand in the jar, and whatever you grab you do. This way you’ll get your exercise without ever getting bored because it will change daily!
